 New homes in the UK will get a boost by getting an automatic planning permission approval. This is great news as it will speed up the building of new properties, this was announced at the beginning of August 2020.
The Prime Minister Boris Johnson has promised to kick-start the building trade as part of his £5 Billion economy drive after lockdown and COVID-19. Old rules The current rule usually takes around 5 years to bring a housing development forward and progress through the normal planning system. New Rules The new rules will allow land that has been designated for the use of new homes, schools, shops and commercial buildings and offices will receive an automatic go-ahead, and let firms start building.
