Here is the short-list what you can currently do without consent
Construct loft conversions up to X50 cubic metres for detached houses and semi-detached properties. You can also allow 40 cubic metres for terraced housing.
Adding a single storey ground floor extension up to 4 Metres by 6 metres
You can move doors or windows, but as long as you are not looking directly into your neighbour's houses.
You can move and alter interior walls, just as long as the original footprint of your house stays the same.
You can construct a single single-storey conservatory up to a size of 4 metres by 6 metres.
Build outbuildings that will be used and doubled up as an office workspace.
Build a porch that is up to a maximum height of 3 metres tall.
Garden Decking can be added and built as long as it's more than 30cm above ground level.
Add a swimming pool to your existing property, but make sure that it's not larger than 50 per cent of the original size of your garden space.
